More than just a concert series, Tensamba is a space for cultural dialogue, training, and collaborative creation. Through workshops, residencies, film, fashion, and other activities, the festival strengthens the local artistic ecosystem and builds connections between creators from diverse backgrounds.

6Cuerdas Festival has celebrated more than 17 consecutive editions, establishing itself as one of the leading events for guitar enthusiasts in the Canary Islands. Throughout its history, the festival has brought to local audiences a top-tier lineup of artists from around the world, showcasing a wide range of styles including flamenco, jazz, classical, world music, fingerstyle, and fusion.
The festival has had the privilege of hosting some of the most renowned guitarists on the international scene, such as Vicente Amigo, Niño Josele, Trío Rosenberg, Sylvain Luc, Stanley Jordan, Duo Assad, Yamandú Costa, Miguel Martins, and Torsten de Winkel, among other world-class performers.
Thanks to its carefully curated programming, educational focus, and strong connection to the local community, 6Cuerdas has contributed not only to the promotion of the guitar as a universal instrument, but also to the cultural enrichment of the Canary Islands and the development of new and diverse audiences around the art of guitar music.
