Morimoto Sisters

Morimoto Sisters, a vocal duo from Japan established by Satomi Morimoto and Emiko Morimoto, showcase their prodigious voices and piano virtuosity, blending music from the East and West.

Soprano Emiko Morimoto, a Tokyo College of Music graduate, earned third prize in the 2003 Asian Classical Music Concert competition in Tokyo. Her illustrious career includes grants from the Rosa Sabater Foundation in 2005 and the Richard Stapley Education Trust in 2005 and 2008, with performances spanning Europe and Asia.

Pianist and soprano Satomi Morimoto, holding a degree from the Tokyo University of Arts and Music and a Master’s Degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, City University of London, boasts a diverse musical journey. Satomi, with ST Fusion, achieved national acclaim with the band’s third album, winning the Best Jazz Album at the UFI awards in 2010. As a soloist, she released the album “Orient no Kaze” (2008).

Their collaborative efforts they released their first album “Morimoto Sisters” in 2010, followed by the release of their second album “Two” in 2014.
