23rd Tensamba Festival 2026

September-November

The Tensamba Festival celebrates its 23rd edition in 2026, reaffirming its position as one of Spain’s leading cultural projects dedicated to the promotion of Brazilian music and culture.

Throughout September, October and November, Tensamba will present an extensive programme connecting different islands and territories through concerts, talks, exhibitions, film screenings, literature, sports activities, workshops and cultural outreach initiatives.

The programme will bring together artists from Brazil, the Canary Islands and other territories, combining established names with emerging projects and new creative voices. Music will once again take centre stage, exploring genres such as MPB, bossa nova, samba, jazz, Brazilian popular music and contemporary sounds.

But Tensamba is much more than a music festival. Over more than two decades, it has become a meeting point for cultural exchange between Brazil, the Canary Islands and Europe, expanding its programme each year with new disciplines and formats that offer a diverse and contemporary perspective on the richness of Brazilian culture.

For its 23rd edition, the festival will take place across a wide range of cultural venues, theatres, music halls and public spaces, reaching different audiences through a combination of free activities and ticketed events.

23 years building cultural bridges between the Canary Islands and Brazil.
