20 YEARS OF ST FUSION

20 DECEMBER

This concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band ST Fusion is part of the Auditorio de Tenerife’s jazz programme.

ST Fusion was born in Tokyo in 2003, although it recorded its first album in 2004 under the title Occiriental, which sought to capture the fusion between Western and Eastern culture. This formation arose thanks to the union of the Japanese artist Satomi Morimoto and the Canarian artist Tomás LP Cruz. As a result of this duo they ended up forming ST Fusión. With this formation they have been successful in countries such as Spain, England, Italy, Serbia, Morocco, Cape Verde, Senegal, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Brazil and Colombia. They have produced eight albums and have been nominated and awarded at regional, national and international levels. ST Fusion has created a unique sound, based on the avant-garde by organically mixing the most contemporary jazz, traditional Japanese music, funk, classical music, rock, African music, and other genres provided by the wide versatility of its components. Without a doubt, this band does not go unnoticed on stage.

In this concert we will be able to enjoy the musical maturity of this mixed-race band, after two decades of study and musical experimentation, which they have been able to take to four continents.
